Welcome to EThOS History

Hello Students!

Thank you for being so flexible in this transition to online learning. We anticipate returning to school on May 4th, giving Star Wars day a new layer of significance, but that's besides the point. Please check your teacher websites daily for what is due and email us if you have any questions.

For my classes, please check your class page (US History, World History, APUSH) and join the google classroom ASAP. Also, sign up for the Class Remind so I can send out updates and any changes. You can also message me faster through Remind.

Lastly, please review the Code of Conduct for online learning so you are aware of the expectations for when we communicate online. - Chase

Hello my name is Sabrina Chase and this is my 6th year at TOHS!

I would like to start off by letting you know this is not a data dump class. The subject of History is loaded with valuable information but trying to conquer the vast expanse of the past in its entirety with fewer than 200 days would be inconceivable! It is our goal in this room to sort through the important questions that we, as historians, have about the past. Not only will we utilize the text book to answer these questions, we will also view films, listen to music, analyze images and examine primary source documents in order to investigate the past in an authentic setting. My goal is that you will leave this room as knowledgeable individuals with questioning minds and the ability to scrutinize any and all accepted truths. By questioning the past, you will discover your voice and your values.

"The things that will destroy America are prosperity-at-any-price, peace-at-any-price, safety-first instead of duty-first, the love of soft living, and the get-rich-quick theory of life."
-Theodore Roosevelt
